Failure to diagnosis- Failure to diagnosis occurs when a physician or other provider misses a diagnosis. This can lead to physical injury and death. Examples include failure to diagnose cancer or infection.
Delayed diagnosis- A delayed diagnosis occurs when a provider fails to diagnosis a condition in the proper time. 
Surgical errors- A physician commits malpractice if they make a medical error during a surgical procedure.
Misdiagnosis- A misdiagnosis occurs when a doctor diagnosis's a patient with the wrong condition. A misdianosis can lead to wrong treatments and worsening of the true condition. 
Adverse drug reactions and Prescription errors: A doctor commits negligence when they prescribe the wrong drug or the wrong dose of the correct drug and injury results. Negligence occurs when a doctor fails to monitor a patient and the drug causes injury.
Radiation injuries- A physican is liable if they neglignetly harm a patient during radiation treatments. Medical errors include overdoses of radiation which can cause cancer burns and other medical conditions.
